Being brought up in Calcutta and currently based in Mumbai, I have always lived in cities which have an integral connection with cinema. ​Starting out as a filmmaker I was always interested in images and the power they held as a medium of story-telling.
After starting my production house at the age of 18, I quickly moved on to work as Cinematographer in a variety of projects including narrative fiction, music videos and documentaries.
Irrespective of format, projects that are inherently strong in storytelling and design have always stood out for me. I'm interested in how my images can add to the narrative and I'm always trying to push the boundaries of my visual language.
